In June 1941, once the German army entered Lithuania, the Jews were segregated by Nazis in ghettos and their massacre began. During the Holocaust Nazis together with local collaborators brutally killed about 200,000 Lithuanian Jews. As many as 95% of the Lithuanian Jews were brutally killed. While some were succumbed to greed by killing and stealing Jewish property, others were hiding Jews putting their own lives at risk.
